There are places set apart from the hustle and bustle of the work-a-day world where its easy to be still and to  catch a glimpse of the holy. Thin places perhaps. Holy Places we may call them! Not your big holy places frequented by hordes of pilgrims who are in danger of becoming tourists but, rather,  Small Pilgrim Places under whose spell  “the glazed eyes of the tourist within each of us” – to use Jim Cotter’s words – can “become the focussed eyes of the pilgrim.”
