January’s Walk – St. Benet’s

Great day out on 18th walking around St. Benet’s. The sun shone. There were two flocks of Whooper Swans. And we met the voluntary Broads Ranger Pete Morgan.

The Whooper Swans were an added bonus Gudrun Warren’s, Fursey Pilgrims, lecture on “Angels in Fursey’s Transitus” suggested to some of us that in his other worldly journey, the angles who assisted the holy man might have had an earthly form as Whooper Swans! (Hadn’t smoked any herbs or drunk a drop! I promise!)

Next month 23rd Feb we walk round Morton Hall – a chance to consider the flowers (snow drops and early daffs!). Details to follow!
